Terms like "throwing away" or "dumping" dominate their conversations about selling produce. The Mandi Rates Project is here to change that narrative.

The true essence of farming lies in the mandi—the heartbeat of the agricultural economy. While efforts in agriculture often focus on boosting production, the marketing side has been overlooked. Inside mandis, a network of astute individuals thrives by mastering information and analysis. We aim to bring that same understanding to farmers, empowering them to succeed.

The Mandi Rates Project is an initiative to enhance farmers’ understanding of markets and crop marketing. We gather accurate, reliable data from trusted sources and deliver it in simple, farmer-friendly language. By bridging the gap between scattered government data and the farmers who need it, we act as a vital support system for agricultural progress.

This project operates independently and is financially self-reliant. Looking ahead, we plan to sustain it through online advertisements, expanding its reach. Currently available in Hindi and Punjabi, we aim to include Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, and Odia languages to serve farmers nationwide.

We seek out innovative farmers who’ve found creative ways to sell their produce. By sharing their insights, we aim to foster entrepreneurship in rural India, helping every farmer secure a place in their local market and turn farming into a profitable, fulfilling endeavor.
